Self Cleaning Screen Mesh: Wire Patterns and Replacement Details
Explore close-up footage of shaped-wire self cleaning screens and the measurements needed to discuss a replacement for a difficult screening duty.
When a screen is affected by plugging or material buildup, the surface pattern is only one part of the replacement decision. These two close-up videos show the shaped wires and panel layout of our self cleaning screen mesh, giving you a reference for discussing the required construction.
Reading the wire pattern
The first clip follows the shaped wires and their openings. The second moves across the panels from another angle. Compare these details with an overall deck photograph and a drawing of your current screen, including the positions of supports and fixing edges.
Describe the problem on the existing deck
Tell us whether particles are wedging in the openings, material is coating the surface, or the feed contains a high proportion of flaky pieces. Include the moisture condition and photographs taken during normal operation or maintenance. This helps distinguish the operating requirement from the appearance of the mesh alone.
The product specification supplied with this update identifies 65Mn steel wire. Confirm the wire grade and finished panel requirements in the quotation. The result in service depends on the material, deck setup and chosen configuration; close-up footage does not establish a capacity increase or a guaranteed blockage-free result.
A replacement measurement checklist
- Clear aperture and wire diameter.
- Finished panel length and width.
- Wire pattern and supporting strip or support positions.
- Edge or hook profile and tensioning direction.
- Deck support spacing and mounting photographs.
- Feed material, moisture, target cut size and required quantity.
Screening and dewatering requirements
