WORKSHOP NOTES
Welded Screen Production: Welding and Heat Treatment
See automated welding and furnace-stage footage for welded screens, with material options and a practical specification checklist.
A welded screen specification brings together the wire material, opening geometry, panel dimensions and production requirements. These workshop clips show an automated welding station and a later furnace stage, complementing the finished-panel details on our welded screen product page.
Automated welding
The first short clip shows a mesh panel at an automated welding station. The visible panel surface and equipment provide a view of the joining stage. To discuss a similar panel, send both the clear opening and the wire diameter, together with the overall outline and mounting details.
Post-welding heat treatment
The second video shows heated panels emerging from furnace equipment. The accompanying workshop note describes vacuum-furnace heat treatment and quenching after welding, and reports approximately 12 hours before furnace exit for the illustrated batch. This batch description is not a universal treatment schedule: the required cycle and acceptance criteria are confirmed against the steel grade and order specification.
Material and opening options
The supplied product range includes 30MnSi, 40Cr and 42CrMo materials, with round or square openings. Material, wire diameter, aperture and finished panel dimensions can be discussed from a drawing or sample. Describe the aggregate, abrasion conditions, feed size and deck position so the proposed specification can be reviewed for the intended duty.
The choice should be based on the complete specification and operating conditions. If a project requires documented hardness or other inspection results, state the required test and acceptance criteria when requesting a quotation.
What to include in your enquiry
- Required material grade and any heat-treatment requirement.
- Opening shape, clear aperture and wire diameter.
- Panel length, width, outline and support arrangement.
- Mounting holes, edge details or fixing drawing.
- Feed material, maximum feed size, moisture and existing wear pattern.
- Quantity, inspection requirements and delivery destination.
